Welcome to Raven and Rogue. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and your purchase of our products. By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Overview

This website is operated by Raven and Rogue. We may update these terms at any time, and the current version is always posted on this page with its revision date. Material changes will be noted. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from this site. Our products include open-flame components, glass, sharp tools, and botanical preparations, and they are not intended for children. By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter a binding contract.

3. The Nature of Our Products

Everything we sell is offered as a spiritual, symbolic, and educational tool. Our products are not food, medicine, cosmetics, supplements, or medical devices, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.

No specific outcome is promised or guaranteed. Nothing on this site, in our listings, or in our printed materials is a substitute for medical, mental health, legal, financial, veterinary, or other professional advice. Do not use our products in place of professional care, and do not use them to make urgent medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions.

Our booklets cite the origins of the traditions they reference wherever reasonably possible. They draw on widely documented folk and occult practice and do not claim to reconstruct any closed or initiatory lineage.

4. Product Safety and Assumption of Risk

Read the safety information included with your order before use. By purchasing, you accept responsibility for using these products safely and you assume the risks described below.

Open flame

Candles, tealights, charcoal, incense, and herb bundles involve fire. Never leave them burning unattended. Place them on a stable, heat-safe surface away from anything flammable, and keep herbs, grains, oils, parchment, and packaging clear of the flame. Extinguish fully and confirm before leaving the room. Resinous bundles can reignite after they appear to be out.

Botanicals and skin

Some of our botanicals are not suitable for skin contact. Several, including rue and citrus peels such as bergamot and orange, can cause irritation or burns on skin later exposed to sunlight. Where a product is labeled for external ritual use, patch test a small area first and discontinue if irritation occurs. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes and flush with water if it happens. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin.

Pregnancy, nursing, and health conditions

Several of our blends contain botanicals traditionally contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding, including rue, hyssop, damiana, and orris root. Do not use these products if you are pregnant or nursing. If you are managing a health condition or taking medication, consult a qualified practitioner before using any product containing botanicals or essential oils.

Not for ingestion

No product sold here is food-grade or intended to be consumed, brewed, or taken internally, regardless of whether an ingredient also appears in cooking. Do not ingest any component.

Small parts, glass, and tools

Some products contain decorative glass, crystal chips, or other small pieces. Some kits contain iron nails, carving tools, or other sharp items. Handle with care and keep all products away from children and pets.

Alcohol

Products containing alcohol are flammable. Keep them away from open flame and never apply them to a lit candle.

Live plants

Live and dormant plants are natural products and vary in appearance, size, and revival time. Care instructions ship with the plant.

5. Placing Orders

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when ordering. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including for suspected fraud, unauthorized use of a payment method, errors in pricing or product information, or quantities that appear to be for resale without authorization.

6. Payment and Pricing

All prices are in US dollars and subject to change without notice. Payment is handled by secure third-party processors who receive the information necessary to complete your transaction. We do not store full payment card details.

7. Preorders

Preorder items ship on the timeline stated on the product page and will not ship immediately. Orders containing preorder items ship once all items are available; split shipments are not offered. If a preorder is delayed substantially beyond the stated window, you may request cancellation and a full refund of that item.

8. Shipping, International Orders, and Customs

Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not responsible for carrier delays once a package leaves our hands.

International customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees, which are not included in the purchase price and are not refundable if a package is refused.

Some products cannot be shipped to every destination. Live and dormant plants are subject to agricultural import restrictions in many countries, and products containing alcohol are subject to carrier and destination restrictions. You are responsible for knowing whether an item may lawfully be imported into your country. Orders that cannot be lawfully shipped will be cancelled and refunded.

9. Returns and Cancellations

Our Returns Policy governs returns, exchanges, and refunds, and is incorporated into these terms.

Because of the nature of what we sell, the following are not returnable once opened or used: herbs, salts, grains, and other consumable botanicals; oils, waters, and other liquid preparations; candles and burnable goods; and any item that has been burned, mixed, applied, or otherwise used in a working. Custom and personalized orders are not returnable.

Items returned under our standard policy must be in the same condition as received, including original packaging and any printed materials.

10. Digital Products

Digital downloads, including guides, journals, and booklets, are licensed to you for personal use only. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, share, or publish them, in whole or in part, or use them to create derivative works.

Because digital products are delivered immediately and cannot be returned, all digital sales are final. If a file is damaged or a download link fails, contact us and we will resolve it.

11. Intellectual Property

Raven and Rogue and Tarotorial are registered trademarks. Our card designs, artwork, booklets, written content, photography, packaging, labels, and the design and functionality of this website are owned by us and protected by trademark and copyright law, including works registered with the United States Copyright Office.

You may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, modify, or create derivative works from our products or content without prior written permission. This includes copying our artwork, reproducing our booklets or card designs, using our product photography, and manufacturing or selling counterfeit or imitation versions of our products.

We actively enforce our intellectual property rights.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Raven and Rogue is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of this site or our products.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Raven and Rogue from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of our products, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or from a purchase will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be noted, and continued use of the site constitutes acceptance.
